Officers were traveling on Philmont Avenue early on June 10 when they spotted an oncoming driver pass a car on its left side, veering into the center median and opposite lane, police said.
The officers had to swerve to the curb to avoid colliding with the driver, authorities said.
They activated their lights and the driver fled before eventually being taken into custody, township police said. Troy Broadus, 61, of Philadelphia, was charged with fleeing police, reckless endangerment, marijuana possession, and related counts, officials said.
He posted $25,000 bail and has a preliminary hearing on Aug. 21.
